Health Coaching
What is Health Coaching?
Coaching is not therapy. Coaching is not a coach-directed process. Coaching is a method of empowering clients to be their best selves with the client leading the way and the coach supporting them in the journey. The coach and client will further define these terms and expectations while creating the coaching agreement.
How Does Coaching Work?
Coaching is a partnership between client and coach. The coach acts as a positive supporter and accountability partner. Coaching works best with individuals who are motivated to make a change but need support.
Where Does Coaching Take Place?
Coaching sessions are conducted virtually. All you need is access to the internet and a readiness to start living your BEST life!
How Long are Sessions?
The initial Comprehensive Coaching Session typically lasts 60 minutes. Follow-up Coaching Sessions are 30 minutes.
Can I Use My HSA/FSA?
All plans vary. It may be possible if your doctor recommends health coaching and/or yoga, that you would be able to reimburse yourself. It is always best to check with your individual plan.
Yoga Therapeutics
Do I Need Doctor’s Approval for Yoga?
Yoga is a form of exercise. If you have any health conditions or do not have a current exercise routine, it is always recommended to consult your doctor before participating. Be sure to tell your doctor you are taking therapeutic classes from a qualified yoga teacher.
What If I Am New to Yoga?
If you are new to yoga, please schedule a FREE 15-minute consultation with me to determine the best option for you. Also, if you have osteopenia or osteoporosis, I recommend doing the Yoga for Osteoporosis Course first before taking live classes so you have a better understanding of how it works.
What is the Best Way to Set Up for Online Yoga Sessions?
It is strongly recommended to view classes on a laptop or iPad, not a phone. Also, if you have access to AppleTV, we recommend viewing classes on your TV for the best experience. You will need a stable internet connection and a quiet space free from distractions.
What Yoga Props Do I Need?
You will need a sturdy chair, 2 yoga blocks, a blanket, and a yoga strap. If you have access to a wall it may come in handy. For best results, practice on a solid surface such as a wood floor. If you are practicing on carpet, please consider using a board under your mat for added stability.
How Long are Sessions?
Yoga Sessions can last 60-90 minutes, depending on how you have booked your services.
