What If I Am New to Yoga?

No yoga is experience required for retreat. Just come with an open mind. Yoga classes will provide options appropriate for all-levels including those with osteopenia or osteoporosis diagnosis to practice yoga safely.

Do I Need Doctor’s Permission?

If you are currently not active, have other pre-existing conditions or physical limitations, it is wise to ask your doctor.  Yoga is a form of exercise, it is always recommended to consult your doctor before participating. Be sure to tell your doctor you are taking modified classes from an experienced and well-qualified teacher.

What Props Do I Need?

The retreat center offers a limited supply of yoga mats and props. It is best to bring your own mat, strap, and blocks if you have them to ensure you have what you need. Also, you will have the option to order in advance a specially priced package including a sticky mat, 2 yoga blocks, and a yoga strap. Those who order by the deadline will pick up their order at check-in.

How Long Are the Yoga Classes?

Yoga classes are typically 60-90 minutes in length and require props. We will practice both Hatha Yoga and Restorative Yoga with options.

What else is there to do in Sedona?

Sedona is a magical place. You will definitely want to arrive early or stay an extra day or two to experience the vortexes, hiking trails, delicious food, and soak up the scenery! To learn more about visiting Sedona click here.

Travel Tips

Pack layers. Mid-October is absolutely beautiful in Arizona. Mornings start out cool. The day will heat up as the sun intensifies. Nights tend to be cool.

Trails are dusty and can be slippery when wet. Bring appropriate shoes for hiking, a backpack or fanny pack for water, sunscreen, and a hat.

The climate in Arizona is dry so please bring a reusable water bottle and plan to drink a lot of water while you are there. Also, bring plenty of lotion & lip balm.
